If you grew up in the south, you know that come June and July, peach cobbler is a summer dessert staple. There's nothing like fresh cobbler coming out of the oven and topping it with vanilla ice cream. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

This particular recipe is one that I grew up making with my mom. I vividly remember making this and in my head saying "cuppa cuppa cuppa". I'm originally from Alabama, and this kind of recipe was common! There's a few more ingredients, but the base of this recipe calls for a "cuppa" flour, a "cuppa" milk, and a "cuppa" sugar. Doesn't get much simpler than that!
How to make the easiest Peach Cobbler:
Tools you may need:
Ingredients:
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup of sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 cup of milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick of butter
2 cups of sliced peaches
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 with cast iron skillet inside.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
After dry ingredients have been stirred together, add your milk and vanilla and stir.
Add your stick of butter to your cast iron skillet (while in the oven and let melt).
Peel and slice your peaches, then add them to your mixture.
Pour your batter into cast iron skillet with the melted butter.
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream ;)
